King Kong PC Port

Features / Performance

Smooth at any frame rate.

Play at 30 like the console, or at 60, 120, 144 FPS and beyond. The game's motion and timing stay right at every frame rate, and every frame is drawn by the game.

High frame rates

High frame rates, done properly.

Animations, physics, particles, water, the camera and timing run at the right speed at any frame rate, from the rowing crew to Kong's grabs. At 30 FPS the game plays exactly as on the console.

Remastered plays at 60 FPS and Original at 30; Settings › Display › Frame rate goes up to 240 FPS and unlimited. There is no frame generation. A few character animations are not quite right above 30.

Ready to play

Ready when you are.

The graphics are prepared once on the first start, with one progress bar, so play stays smooth. Rebuild shaders in Settings does it again if you ever need it.

Benchmark

Measure it yourself.

Benchmark on the main menu plays a recorded route through four chapters with your graphics settings and private saves of its own. A standard run plays it three times, about 10 minutes, and shows the middle result of each chapter. It all happens inside the launcher, with a controller or the keyboard, and the results stay on your PC.

Performance metrics

See the numbers.

Performance metrics in Settings › Gameplay › Overlay, or F2 while you play: FPS only, or Full, with a frame time graph, the graphics card's load, temperature, clock and memory, the processor and memory use, the graphics API and the upscaler.
